Movie Review - The Pink Panther (2006)

I really liked the Pink Panther movies when I was young and rented The Pink Panther Strikes again for my kids in preparation for seeing this. They laughed so hard and watched it twice. Then we went to see this movie with Steve Martin. They thought it was pretty good - so I guess that's the kids' review. I thought it was pretty lame.

Steve Martin did good stand-up back in the day, but as an actor, especially a comic actor, he doesn't really have an edge and comes off pretty "milk-toast." Ok if you are an adult who loves seeing Disney movies, but if you have a more sophisticated adult taste not really funny stuff. In addition they changed the basic premise and made Clouseau into a crime fighting genius who actually solves the crime on purpose. Ha ha. Guess they missed the whole point.
